Hi!
The first warhammer computer tht came out was 'Dark Omen' this was a real time strategy, and was based on Warhammer Fantasy not 40000. It had pretty poor graphics by our standards today, but when it came out it was great!

GAMESPOT - "Dark Omen is a tactical real-time wargame set in Games Workshop's popular Warhammer fantasy world. You assume command of Bernhardt's Grudgebringers, a powerful and prestigious mercenary army forced to defend itself against armies of the vengeful Undead. All the while, the Greenskins - orcs, goblins, and worse - will be a thorn in your side. Dark Omen is exciting, visually superb, and features an elegant interface."

Second game was the first Warhammer 40,000 based warhammer game. called 'Warhammer 40,000 : chaos gate" based on space marines and chaos space marines

GAMESPOT - "Warhammer is a complex, vastly entertaining strategy gaming system, and Chaos Gate does full justice to it." (SCORE 8.0)

Third game to be realised was another warhammer 40000 game called 'Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War' this was similar to the above but based on eldar, featured tyranids too.

GAMESPOT - "At its heart, Rites of War proves to be fairly enjoyable if you can get past all its many rough edges." (SCORE - 5.9)

Fourth title was the very special 'Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior' this was the first game to feature half decent graphics by standards today, also was the first FPS.

GAMESPOT - "Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior has exchanged all of the depth and dynamism of the Games Workshop franchise for a shooter-by-numbers approach. " (SCORE - 5.7)

FITH Warhammer game to appear is the more latest 'Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War' this was the first warhammer game to be based on warhammer 40,00. also includes 2 addons 'Winter Assault' and 'Dark Crusade'.

GAMESPOT - "Dawn of War is a testament to what can be so great about real-time strategy, and it captures the grim and brutal world of Warhammer 40,000 extremely well." (SCORE - 8.8)

The most recent game is 'Warhammer: Mark of Chaos' this is a brilliant RTS based on warhammer fantasy with the fantastic graphics of Dawn of War.

GAMESPOT - "Mark of Chaos captures the fantasy combat of the popular Warhammer franchise in a beautiful way, but it's marred by some technical issues and a basic strategic campaign." (SCORE 7.2)

for a full review of every game -

not sure about the earlier games but i think they can all be played on mac, in my opinion Mark of chaos is the greatest so far, to find bargains...thts ur job =P better start price surfing!

hope this helps!
