I currently have cox high speed internet, standard and digital cable. The 3 month promotion is just about up and for these 3 services I’ll be paying 112/month. I don’t watch much tv but do spend a lot of time on the internet. I was wondering if I cancel my standard and digital tv service with cox will I still have standard cable b/c of the activation of high speed internet?
thanks

for those who have answered… Won’t cable still be streaming to my house, for the HSI, even if i cancel cable services?

It’s possible, but probably not. They’ve got plenty of customers who only want HSI. You should be aware that getting HSI by itself will probably cost more than it does when it’s part of a package that includes cable TV. The difference may only be $20 or something (for basic).
nope…not unless you pay for it.
nope. once you cancel cable, you dont have it anymore.
If you’re not paying for it, you won’t get it. And in my area, the cost of broadband goes up if we don’t have cable TV as well.
I’m not familiar with Cox, so I don’t know if they’re set up this way, but I had Charter (now with Bellsouth). With Charter, I canceled my TV service to get DirectTV, but I still kept my cable Internet, which costs me about $10 or so more a month since I didn’t have the bundle package with the TV programs. Just decided to go to Bellsouth because I could get twice as much speed for less than what I was paying with Charter.
You probably still have basic cable.I switched to satlite tv and kept my cable for the internet.Out of curisoty I took my cable
from the cable modem and pluged it into the back of a tv and
still had service.
