Yes it should. I would rather here someone say why they should be elected instead of saying why the other person should not be elected.

yes! The campaigns should be about what each candidate will do for us. not a bash fest. I don’t care what another person has or hasn’t done, I care about the issues. Why should I vote for a person. I need to know what their opinions are and what they will do to help make our lives better. When they are bashing another person it becomes a viscous circle and the it becomes to annoying to even pay attention to. People eventually stop watching and stop caring. Many intelligent people have the sense to realize that if a person has to stoop so low as to bash another person, then they obviously don’t have anything good to contribute!

It would be very hard to ban something as nebulous as “negative advertising,” since it’s so hard to define. What’s negative and what isn’t is basically objective.
